The PPMA Recruitment Awards are now well established as the event of the year for celebrating excellence in the recruitment and retention of public sector staff.
The Awards night has become the Oscars of the industry and the standard of work gets better every year and the audience at the Awards night bigger and bigger.
Here are the categories:

Best Recruitment Advertisement in Housing

An advertisement to recruit housing professionals.

Best Recruitment Advertisement in Sustainability/Regeneration/ Environment

An advertisement to recruit staff working in areas of sustainability, regeneration or environment.

Best Recruitment Advertisement in Adult Social Care

An advertisement to recruit staff working in adult social care, health or related disciplines.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for Support Services

An advertisement to recruit staff working in Support Services: HR, Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal.

Best Recruitment Website

Any form of online medium that is dedicated to attracting and retaining job seekers. Job sites and micro sites should be entered into this category. An entry form and the url address of the site are all that is required to enter. Please note that judges will be looking at creativity, design, content and accessibility aspects of sites entered.

Best Recruitment Support Material

Any form of recruitment marketing (printed or online) that has been created to support a specific recruitment campaign. All entries must attach a project brief outlining the background, any research, the work produced and the outcomes/evidence on no more than 1 side A4 to their entry forms. For this category you will need to complete an online entry and also send ready-mounted hard copies of the material to be judged on white card (no larger than A3) with the project brief & entry number (given to you from the website) clearly displayed.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for Emergency Services

An advertisement for any type of post working in the emergency services.

Best Recruitment Campaign

A sustained campaign of activity that includes at least 3 pieces of work ideally utilizing a range of mediums/communication tools, to promote a particular recruitment drive. All entries must attach a project brief outlining the background, the project, any research and the outcomes/evidence on no more than 1 side A4 to their entries.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for Education, Children & Young People’s Services

An advertisement to recruit staff working with children and young people.

Most Effective Employer Brand

A suite of work that clearly promotes a positive and consistent employer brand for an organisation. The judges will particularly be looking for innovative creativity and consistent use of recruitment mediums that has delivered impactful messages about the organisation and enhanced its positioning.

Best Work for Improving the Intake of Graduates/Trainees/Apprentices to the Public Sector

An advertisement, direct mail item (on or off line), website, campaign or other recruitment communication that is specifically targeted toward attracting graduates/trainees/apprentices to the public sector.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for a London Borough Council

An advertisement for a London Borough Council.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for a District/Borough Council

An advertisement recruiting to any role(s) within a District/Borough Council.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for a County Council

An advertisement recruiting to any role(s) within a County Council.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for a Unitary/Metropolitan Council

An advertisement recruiting to any role(s) within a Unitary, Metropolitan Council.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for Central Government

An advertisement recruiting to any role(s) within Central Government.

Best Recruitment Advertisement for a Senior Management Post(s)

An advertisement recruiting to a senior level role(s) where salary is over £50k per annum.

Best Recruitment Innovation

This should be a piece of work, campaign or strategy that has delivered creative and innovative resourcing solutions into an organisation. Entrants must demonstrate through a project brief what the innovation was, the methodology and the outcomes. The project brief should be set out on no more than 1 side A4 and be attached to any visual reference entries.

Depending on the number of entries this category may have a short list stage where entrants will be asked to present their innovation in more detail before a winner is selected.

The Recruitment Work of the Year award

This will be selected from the winners of each category.
