Last year’s PPMA conference challenged us all to face up to the prospect of either evolution or extinction.  There is no doubt that the environment in which we are all operating is shifting at such a pace that we need to be as adaptable, agile, and dynamic as we can to survive and thrive.  The unanimous view reached last year was that we must continue to evolve as a profession in order to drive our organisations towards world class performance.  To succeed in our quest we must have a clear sense of purpose, an obvious and contagious passion for what we stand for, and, a complete focus on performance.  We will need to seek out best practice, find solutions to tricky organisational problems and continue our own personal development by constantly looking to enhance our skills.

Our time is at a premium, but how can we better add value in our organisations than taking time to think, reflect and plan?  The 2009 PPMA Conference will provide opportunities to hear from world class people management specialists from around the globe and to seek out the very best practice to use in our own organisations.  It will offer the opportunity to focus and discuss topical issues of the day.  To share experience with colleagues and to extend our networks.  A truly world class programme of speakers have been lined up and a new dimension will also be the new and exciting venue of Manchester.
